AI Disclosure
Last updated: August 8, 2026
Havelin uses AI-assisted technology in two places: Havelin Guide, the assistant on this site and in your dashboard, and the optional website assistant we can build into a client website. This page explains plainly how each one works, what it is allowed to say, and where a person takes over.
This document is a working draft prepared for legal review. It describes how Havelin actually operates, but it has not been reviewed by an attorney and is not legal advice.
1. You are talking to software, not a person
Havelin Guide is an AI-assisted assistant. It is not a person, not an attorney, not an accountant and not an advisor. Any conversation with it is a convenience, not a contract.
Every conversation offers a way to reach a person on the Havelin team, and you may ask for that at any point.
2. Havelin Guide answers only from an approved knowledge base
Havelin Guide answers from a controlled set of written, reviewed entries maintained by Havelin. Each entry has an approved answer, a category, a visibility setting and a last-updated date.
It is built not to invent policies, prices, timelines, discounts, features or guarantees. When a question falls outside the approved entries, it says so, records the question for review by our team, and offers to connect you with a person instead of guessing.
It answers in English or Spanish based on the language you write in.
3. Client website assistants are isolated to one business
When a client website includes an assistant, that assistant uses only that business's own approved information: services and products, frequently asked questions, hours, location and service area, policies, customisation, ordering, appointments, and published pricing and availability.
Knowledge is never shared or mixed between clients. One client's assistant cannot see or use another client's information.
Client assistants are likewise built not to invent facts, and they offer a route to a human at the business when a question falls outside approved information.
4. What AI does not do at Havelin
AI does not approve your website, decide your launch, change your billing, agree to work on our behalf, or create binding commitments.
Statements made by an assistant do not modify the Service Agreement, your package scope, your pricing or your timeline. Where an assistant answer and the written agreement differ, the written agreement controls.
5. Accuracy and human review
We review the approved knowledge base and update entries as our policies and pricing change. Even so, AI-assisted answers can be incomplete or out of date, and they are provided without warranty of accuracy.
Questions the assistant could not answer are stored for our team to review, so gaps become written answers over time.
6. Conversation data
Assistant conversations may be processed by third-party AI providers to generate a response, and unresolved questions may be stored so we can improve the approved answers.
Please do not enter passwords, payment card numbers, government identification numbers or other sensitive personal information into any assistant. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Questions
If you have a question about how AI-assisted technology is used in your project, or you would like a person instead of an assistant, contact Havelin at support@havelin.com or use the support form.
